Another layered doodle based on the cover of an old promotional record called Relaxing With The Niagrans. It was meant to sell chairs. Amazingly, google returns no results for "relaxing niagrans" or you would have a link. If my cat wasn't snoozing on my lap maybe I'd scan the cover because it is a gem.

Harry O's Tuna Sub

For several months last year I explored the tuna sub offerings of Boston's South End, where I work. While it won't win any awards, Harry O's tuna sub has a special place in my heart. It just won't come unclogged. Particularly a small tuna sub with cheese, pickles, and tomato. If it's not toasted in the pizza oven it doesn't count.

My new favorite craft is DIY silkscreening. This is a baby shirt with that fennel drawing I posted back in '82. Hay was going to embroider the leaves (foliage? fronds? idunno), but this is a winter fennel.

Dancing Animals Tune-Up

Our adoption agency is organizing a multicultural festival for kids. I've volunteered some design services. My first idea is to use the world's animals to represent cultures and have some fun. This is just a start. Stay tuned for more dancing animals.

This is going to be a homemade mix CD cover for my wife's friend who is adopting from China. Hay asked for a panda and a turtle who are friends. The panda represents a Chinese baby. The turtle represents a Vietnamese baby.

Texture Library

No new illustrations this weekend because I have been doing some work on my texture library. I have now reached my goal of having a DVD size collection of images I like - 1,274 images taking up 4.29 GB. Check out some samples. Now I have to finish tagging all of them so they can be found when needed. I'm going to burn a few copies for friends, then decide if I want to do anything besides use them. A texture donation to imageafter.com? A reasonably priced DVD for sale?
